Whether your idea of a great vacation is boating and water sports on emerald green water
(smooth as glass in the morning and evening) or a quiet, secluded getaway then the Life
is Good Retreat is for you.
Newly built in 2004, the retreat is located near Somerset, KY in Omega Park on the river
of Lake Cumberland. The house sits on a 1+ acre wooded lot at the dead-end of Lakeshore
Drive. There is an easy walking trail from the house that accesses the lake and we are
within 1 mile of Omega Park's own boat ramp (No launching fees). By water, we are approximately 13
miles by water to Burnside (the mouth of the main lake) and we are approximately 65 miles
from Wolf Creek Dam (the end of the lake). There are thousands of miles of shoreline in
between just waiting for you to experience their beauty.
The Life is Good Retreat offers 2 bedrooms with queen-size beds, 2 full baths, and an optional queen size
air mattress that you may use so you can sleep up to 6 comfortably. The kitchen is large
and completely furnished, there's a washer/dryer, Satellite TV w/ Showtime, DVD and VCR,
games and books. A large, screened in porch features a swing which is a great place to
relax and watch the deer that frequent the area. We have also provided a campfire ring
and all the Free firewood you could need.
The retreat is the closest vacation rental from I-75. Don't waste another minute of your
precious vacation time driving to the far end of Lake Cumberland.
